Flirting under the glittering city lights
Even the sky, obscured by heavy clouds
Could not be seen

All the words
All the promises
I’ve used them all
Let’s meet up once more
In that scenario which belongs to us
That we saw that day

These feelings
Just overflow
I try to scoop them up with both hands, but
Chasing dreams, being chased by dreams
They slip through my fingers
I want to deliver to you
Colourful lies of happiness
Again and again
I’ll draw it out
Even if the ending never comes

You’ve always been so charming
Snarling back at defeat every time it befalls you
Pruning away everything precious to you
You felt like a victor
