It happened when I still didn’t believe in God
It was raining on that September’s Thursday
“Will a wonderful guy appear such a day?”
As I thought that, I heard “You’re my shelter from the rain”
His smiling face, as he laughed and said “Excuse me”
Was so dignified
The 4th tooth from the right of his front teeth was decayed
I had no choice, but to lend him
My Snoopy handkerchief
Which I’d just bought, though I should have lent him my umbrella
But his eloquence was so wonderful
And that was my prayer to God when I felt needy
Let’s say, let’s say, if it is possible
Please let me meet with that person once again
However, chance is really quite a frightening thing
During my first shrine visit of this year, someone stepped on my best dress’ hem
Laughing as he said “Ah, excuse me again”
The decayed tooth shining in his mouth
I thought it was a dream, but it hurt when I pinched my cheek
Never having heard such a ridiculous story
Mama and big brother laughed so hard at me
Even so, I suddenly started wearing lipstick and stuff
They asked “Are you alright?” as they felt my forehead
Adding on with a request
“If you are serious, bring him home”
One Wednesday in May, I called him over
As I tried to make a confident introduction
I spotted a hole in his sock
In a panic, he hid it away, but clearly it had been seen
But because his eloquence was so wonderful
In a good mood, he suddenly said
Let’s say, let’s say, if it is possible
Please let me have this person as my bride
After that, I lost my senses
So I don’t remember what happened
When I came to again
They had already finished talking about the whole matter
They said “Congrats” to me, and I lost my senses again
And before I knew it, I was sheltering from the rain in your arms
